Thank you to those who not only attended but also participated so fully in the HR Connect session “Addressing Skilled Labour Shortages: Strategic Solutions for Recruitment & Growth” which took place on Wednesday June 18th, 2025. We at the Chamber are heartened by the most positive environment and mood in which the session took place. I trust the presentation which reviewed the underpinnings for our focusing on this issue, (the Chamber’s Business Performance Survey) was found informative and useful.
We were very pleased with the comments, questions, and input during our discussion and it is clear that we need to create more of these opportunities for dialogue, benchmarking and sharing of knowledge and best practice. With your support we will!
As intimated, it was our intention to have gone through two of the processes in which we engaged on Wednesday, however, the extent of, and enthusiasm in, the discussion session precluded us from doing so. Thus, I am extremely pleased to invite you to participate in a “continuation” on Thursday 26th starting at 10:30 a.m. This will help us to achieve another aspect of our intended work.
With that in mind, we will, as agreed, examine specifically, the actions that the Chamber can pursue to help members navigate the Skilled Labour Shortages and Recruiting issues identified from our Business Performance Survey and validated by you.
We therefore invite you to sign up for a quick, but important, Zoom session as round two of our HR Connect: Connecting People Development Leaders to identify potential strategies for effective recruitment.
