Inland Revenue consultation on Tax Administration and Procedures Act (TAPA)

Dear Member,

As mentioned in an email shared on November 24th, the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has requested an in-person meeting with the Chamber's members to discuss and get feedback on the Tax Administration and Procedures Act (TAPA) as attached.  The TAPA is designed to consolidate the effective administration, collection and enforcements procedures of the tax laws administered by the IRD.

It is hoped that the TAPA will be simple in detail, provide one umbrella for the mentioned areas above and will be in keeping with international best practice.

This approach has been adopted by a number of jurisdictions such as St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, and Belize.

You are therefore invited to join representatives of the IRD at the Chamber of Commerce Meeting Room to provide your feedback and comments on December 6th, 2023  at 10:00am.
