Educational Session for CARICHAM Members on the Front of Package Labelling Issue

The Port-of-Spain Declaration: “Uniting to Stop the Epidemic of the NCDs”, in which all Member States committed to a number of measures aimed at reducing incidence level of NCDs3, was signed  by CARICOM heads of states in 2007.

Included in these measures was the implementation of an appropriate supplementary nutritional labelling standard, Front of Packaging Nutrition Labelling (FoPNL), to alert consumers to the presence of Nutrients of Concern (NOCs)4 above the recommended threshold in packaged foods.

As you are well aware, CARICHAM is comprised of 21 Chambers of Commerce in the region  including The St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce.

On Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 at 02:00 PM (AST)  CARICHAM,  in Collaboration with the CARICOM private Sector Organization (CPSO ) invites members of the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce  to an Educational Session on the Front of Package Labelling Issue.
