In this difficult financial and economic climate, every key person in a leadership position in Business "must" understand and be able to communicate and share important accounting and financial fundamentals. They "must" be able to use the information produced by their accounts department to make the optimal decisions for their firm. Yet, we know, that not every person with management responsibility has a strong background in accounting and finance and feels comfortable with the financial issues, and its accompanying jargon.
This Finance for Non-Financial Managers Workshop has been identified as a critical skill and knowledge are that businesses require to "Adapt, Operate and Thrive" in this Next Normal. Therefore, in conjunction with the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation (DSIK), the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce is working with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Eastern Caribbean (St. Lucia Branch) to offer this most vital, valuable and high impact training programme.
This Programme has been carefully constructed with the needs of Senior Officers in businesses who do not have a finance background but need to make decisions involving financial issues on a daily basis. With this in mind, the Programme has been crafted to provide attendees with the necessary skills and tools to understand, interpret and analyze financial and accounting information that will help grow their business through informed, and enhanced decision making.

The program has been developed with the following target group in mind; decision makers who may have not been trained in Accounting, but are now managers, supervisors, lawyers, engineers, human resource professionals, marketing and sales team leaders and as well as other professionals who need to improve their ability to interpret and analyze financial statements.
