As the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture continues its ongoing program of providing increased levels of support and services to its Smaller Members and MSMEs in particular, we continue our collaboration with the SLDB and the joint program of Accessing the Climate Adaptation Financing Facility.

The ultimate objective of improving access to finance drives our efforts at not only providing information but skills and knowledge as well.  We present another E- Workshop; Accessing the CAFF: Developing a Business Continuity Plan For MSMEs'.

Having an acceptable BCP is one of the major requirements for accessing the Climate Adaptation Financing Facility and as such the Chamber has designed a special program to help MSME's meet this requirement. Working with the SLDB and Andrew George of NEMO this  Chamber designed and developed "Accessing the CAFF: Developing a Business Continuity Plan For MSMEs" will walk MSME's through the process of developing a fully certified BCP for their business which will meet both NEMO and SLDB requirements. But this is not just about compliance, it is about placing your business on a more resilient footing by having a high quality workable BCP.

The E-Workshop will have four critical components:

Part 1 Independent Study ( A four hour video which must be viewed by each participant prior to participating in the Part 2).

Part 2. A four hour E- Workshop where the draft BCP will be the final product, with table top exercises delivered virtually.

Part 3. A Site Visit of your Business to match BCP to the Businesses actual Facility.

Part 4.  Final Certification Visit.

The CAFF seeks as a critical objective to build the resilience of MSMEs in St. Lucia. St. Lucia like its sister islands are extremely vulnerable to natural, cyber, bio and man-made disasters. This knowledge must be translated to definitive and deliberate actions to reduce vulnerability to known risks and build the resilience of  your business.

With the financial support of SLDB and other partners this BCP workshop will go along way in helping firms access resources to recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, and reduce vulnerability to Climate Change. You are encouraged to register early and secure your seat as space is limited.

Please note this is only for companies who fit the following criteria:

Medium Business - 50-250 employees or average turnover of less than $3 million

Micro Business - Less than 10 employees or average turnover of less than $100,000.00

Small Business - 10-50 employees or average turnover of less than $1,000,000.00
